Flash on iPads etc.

To play our Flash based activities on your iPad, we suggest the Puffin Browser App. The warnings in your app store about this product having an age requirement are simply due to the fact that the browser can visit ANY website on the Internet (just like any other browser.) It will be up to parents and teachers to monitor their children's use.

You can try Puffin for free (and be able to play Flash games) for two weeks. After that, the app will cost $2.99 (£2.00) for permanent Flash capabilities. Currently, you can extend your trial period by recommending friends!

For an educational volume discount, go to the Apple Education website for more details.

Touchscreen Devices

As touchscreen devices such as the iPad & Android Tablets are becoming more popular as a method of browsing Crickweb, we are looking at ways of improving the usability of the site.
There are some difficult issues such as Apple's lack of Flash support (most of our activities are written in Flash as it's the only viable method) but as a first step we have a new touchscreen menu test page available for testing/feedback.
If you are using a touchscreen device please give it whirl and let us know if it makes navigation easier or if you prefer using existing menu.

Inappropriate Ads

We'd like to apologise that some inappropriate adverts were being shown on our website. From a handful of reports it seems that a few iPad users were occasionally getting quite offensive ad material. After some investigation we think we've found the offending ad network and removed their ads completely.
