The 700+ links are sorted by subject => key stage => topic.
Where possible they try to follow the relevant strategy, framework or scheme of work.

Sport Relief 2012

Sport Relief 2012 is kicking off in schools on Friday 23rd March and it’s going to be a day of fantastic, active fundraising that the whole school can enjoy!

The YSI: Project Kit is part of the Young Science Investigators (YSI) suite of resources.
The Young Science Investigators are Beepy, Dev and Kate. Together they help pupils aged 7-11 learn about Science through fun, engaging, pupil-centred experiments and activities. All these curriculum resources are free, but registration is required.

Try out the resource now – the first 5000 teachers can order a free set of three posters and class set of "I'm a Young Science Investigator" stickers.

New football themed resources

Footee.com have kindly agreed to let us use some of their resources.
The first two are : One Man Team, a cross curricular game based on football. Use your skill to answer the questions, then dribble past the defender and score. Ball Juggling, a number functions, three level game . It's time for some ball juggling practice, answer the maths questions before the balls hit the ground.

Continuing Site upgrades

You may have noticed that all the resources now open in a 'modal window' from the main key stage & subject listing pages.

All the resources that previously opened in a new tab or browser window have now been redirected away from the old page e.g. (assets/resources/flash.php&file=resource_name) to the correct place on the relevant main listings page. You should then be able to just click the image to open the resource in the new 'modal window'.

If you discover any problems please let us know via the contact form.

Site upgrades

All the resources now open in a 'modal window' from the listing page, instead of a new browser tab or window. This should help improve the experience of using the site and simplify adding resources.

We have split the KS2 Numeracy resources in to 5 sub pages as the original page was very long and slow to load. There is a new sub menu to help navigate around the resources.

Additionally we are rolling out a redirect away from the old page e.g. (assets/resources/flash.php&file=resource_name) to the new 'modal window' version. Early Years is the first to be changed as from today. The others will follow over the next couple of weeks or so.

Adobe Flash Player

Most of our resources need the Adobe Flash Player browser plug-in, which has had several updates this year.
Some of these versions seem to cause the flash activity not to load correctly.
If you go to Adobe and download the latest version (10.1.53.64) it should solve the problem.

Christopher Thorne kindly offered to allow some of the videos to appear on a special
"Mr Thorne Does Phonics on Crickweb" page (he's a regular Crickweb user). To quote Christopher : "This phonics resource is broadly in line with the UK Letters and Sounds programme and I have created it for Parents with young children, teachers in classrooms, student teachers, or anyone with English as a Second Language."

The BBC have allowed some of their resources to be used on other web sites

Classes studying the Earth & Beyond in science lessons should take a look at the BBC's Exploring the Solar System website. Material from BBC programmes such as The Planets, The Sky at Night and Horizon. Science teachers can also print out this handy site-map for easy reference.

New Word Cruncher

Word Cruncher - ICT is a timed interactive ICT spelling game. Find and select the letters in the correct order to make the word. If you choose the wrong letter you have to start that word again.
